Thoughts on the SYG fellowship camp 2003

We enjoyed the camp that Sunshine Youth Group had arranged tremendously. We loved all the fun activities and games. The two days at Costa Sands Resort was spent meaningfully. The part we liked best about the camp was when we climbed Mt. Faber. We had the chance to feed the fishes at the top of Mt. Faber. We also liked the part when we made cards and bookmarks with pressed flowers. It was a chance to express our creativity and in the end, we bought the cards and bookmarks that we had made. All in all, we had a great time at the camp and an opportunity to make new friends. In future, we would like to have camps to last for more than two days.

The camp was a great success. I liked it a lot. The only thing was, the cycling session was for the younger kids. I made a lot of friends too. My favorite part was the Astronomy class. It was so fun. I got to learn a lot of facts. I think to make this camp better they could extend the information sessions. There were also a lot of treats like Pepsi and such drinks. I think this is a wonderful camp. It has also taught us to be independent. Thank you for organizing this camp marvelously.

The camp started out with a holiday season. All of us got to know people whom we would not have even dreamed of meeting. It was a nice experience I should say. The activities organized were nice except that the older kids did not get to go cycling. L But otherwise, everything else was fun and organized in a proper way. Having fun doesn’t mean that we did not learn anything! We learnt a lot. The sessions I liked most were astronomy, quiz time and art and craft J During Art and Craft session, Kiruthika got us cards and bookmarks, which were plain. Then she told us to decorate them with pressed leaves and flowers! We also had the glitter glue! We made nice cards and bookmarks, which were laminated and at the end of the camp sold off. I think everyone did a great job. They also could have extended the information-giving sessions, and then it would have been better. The camp could have been a 4-day camp. Anyway, it has taught us to be independent too J. The camp was a great success. Thank you.

On February 1st and 2nd, we had a camp in Costa Sands resort. We had six cottages. In the evening we went cycling on the beach side. Riding the bicycle in the beachside is very interesting. I got more information about Sri Aurobindo and Mother. We went hiking. This is the first time I have gone hiking. On the second night, we ate delicious gulab jamun. Among all the events, I liked the cycling. I want to go to the camp again because I can learn more and make more friends.
